We all know that exercise benefits all of us, including children. Yoga and exercise improves our physical and mental health and keeps us focused. Instead of dropping kids off at summer camp why not try something new and get the whole family into yoga! Not only will it help families bond, but exercising in groups motivates healthy living. Kids at young ages can have endless energy and it is important that they learn to harness their energy for personal health instead of destruction. According to the CDC children and teens need at least 1 hour of exercise each day and only 25% of children meet that goal. It is very easy for adults and children to get distracted with all of the new technology that we use day to day, which is why this summer should be a challenge to get the whole family to focus on health and exercise!
